Yesterday during my lunch break while filling up my bottle for the umpteenth time with city juice from the water fountain at the base of the obelisk, my ears and gaze shifted to the crowd surrounding the sweet melodies of cello and guitar. In addition to covers of Led Zeppelin and the soundtrack to Doctor Zhivago, the experimental duo that is Gli Street Spirit tantalized listeners and passersby with their talent and emotion they poured into their music.
